For nearly 80 years, Alexander has been building Hawke's Bay's landmarks. But we're just as proud of saving them.

The Beacons on State Highway 2 have guided seafarers and travellers home to Napier for over 120 years and are the first reinforced concrete structures to built in New Zealand. They're a genuine piece of regional history, and right now, they need help.

Our Director Mark Hamilton is the current Chairperson of the Restore the Beacons trust, working to bring these two icons back to their former glory before it's too late.

A huge thanks to Simon Dunn and the team at Wallace Development Company Limited. Simon was the first community person to back this cause with a donation and support with getting the message out there. If you or your organisation can contribute, every bit helps.

BCITO Graduation - Congratulations Dylan, Ethan & Stefan!

We are thrilled to celebrate Dylan, Ethan and Stefan, who officially graduated through BCITO at their graduation ceremony last month.

Three more legends coming through the Alexander Academy of Awesomeness. We're stoked for you all.

Qualifying as a carpenter isn't handed to you. It takes early mornings, hard graft, learning on the tools, and a real commitment to getting better every day. These three have done exactly that, and we couldn't be prouder.

A big part of that journey is the support around them. Through mentoring, coaching, and the backing of an awesome team, our Academy of Awesomeness Apprenticeship Programme is built to help our people go all the way - and that's exactly what these three have done.

We also want to take a moment to celebrate the Taylor family. Ethan is the third generation of Taylors who have proudly worked for Alexander. A legacy we're honoured to be part of. It says everything about the kind of company we are and the people who make us that way.

Congratulations team. On to the next chapter. 🙌
