Strip-till swedes have been establishing extremely well.

This crop drilled on 30th November with 175 kg/ha DAP.

The first four images were taken on 30th December, with the latest photos from today and I think it’s clear to say this crop looks like it has strong yield potential.

What has really stood out is how efficient we can be with our seed rate. This field was drilled at a 60% reduced rate than what the clients normal seeding rate per hectare would be without effecting establishment.

With clear scope to reduce the rate further for others of up to 70% less seed sown.

By combining strip tillage and precision drilling, we’re helping you cut input costs, improve plant spacing, and maximise yield per hectare. Fewer seeds, better placement, stronger crops yet simple, measurable gains.

How goods a great team of staff!!

With an unbelievable effort from the boys fodder beet is almost complete, what a big few weeks it’s been, but with things running like clockwork despite any challenges faced we all made it work.

🌱FERTILISER MATTERS 🌱

Sometimes the cheaper option isn’t always best, especially when it comes to drilling with fertiliser— make sure you know what you’re really getting for your money.
Fertiliser sets your crop up for success, and cutting corners can cost you more in the long run.
❌ Dust / fines = product loss
❌ Dust / fines = reduced consistency
❌ Dust / fines = reduced efficiency

A quality product gives you accurate flow, consistent placement, and ultimately higher yields. Sometimes that “cheaper” product ends up being the most expensive choice you make.

Make sure you no the quality of the product your buying — because your crops deserve the best start.

🌱 STRIP TILLAGE 🌱

Looking for ways to improve crop yield on your farm while reducing costs?

Here are some of the main benefits of using strip tillage:

🌱 Quicker and more even emergence
A fine, tilthy seedbed warms up faster and requires fewer passes over the paddock. This minimizes moisture loss, ensuring each seed is planted into moist soil at drilling — giving your crop the best possible start.

🌱 Improved moisture retention
Un-cultivated strips retain better soil structure, allowing the ground to absorb and hold more water. This gives plants more consistent access to moisture during critical growth stages.

🌱 Enhanced root growth
Strip tillage alleviates compaction by lifting and loosening the soil in the seedbed. This helps roots establish faster and grow deeper, improving both water and nutrient uptake — resulting in healthier plants.

🌱 Cleaner crops

*DRILLING FERTILISER*

Ever wondered if drilling fert down the spout at the time of planting is worth it?

These pictures makes it stand out in this maize crop, a couple random runs drilled with fert the rest of the paddock wasn’t.

Fertiliser used: DAP

Phosphorus helps aid early root development and with us placing the fert in close proximity to the seed which will allow the plant to establish and get off to a great start.

Early root development will set your crop up for a great start helping develop a stronger root system allowing for better water and nutrient uptake.

(Yes I was in socks using my boots for size difference!)
