Celebrating Long Service at Pipeline & Civil

This week, we had the privilege of recognising some of our people for reaching significant long service milestones with Pipeline & Civil.

A big congratulations to our 5-year recipients: Aliasger Zamani, Elijah Blanchette-Mathews, Eugene Robinson, Jae Rapihana, Joe Tauira, Ken Tran, Madino Bellosillo, Patrick Scotting, Patrick Edwards and Tamahine Tauira.

We also recognised Jonathan Penman for 15 years of service, and Alastair George for an incredible 20 years with Pipeline & Civil.

Long service is something worth celebrating. It reflects commitment, loyalty, resilience and the many contributions made over time - often across different projects, teams, challenges and stages of the business.

At Pipeline & Civil, our values of Safety, Quality, Honesty, Care and Success are shaped by the people who live them every day.

These milestones are a reminder that strong companies are built by good people who show up, support each other, take pride in their work and help create the culture around them.

We’re grateful for the skill, experience, humour, care and leadership each of these people bring to our teams.

Thank you for the part you’ve each played in building Pipeline & Civil into the company it is today.

Category 1 - projects up to $2m went to Pipeline & Civil for the Paremuka Dam Remediation.

The careful repair of a deteriorating culvert beneath a KiwiRail railway line and dam was completed both within budget and while supporting Auckland Council’s environmental and biosecurity objectives.

Well done team! You have truly achieved construction excellence.

What better way to explore a future in infrastructure than stepping onto a live site and seeing the work up close?

Pipeline & Civil was pumped (no pun intended) to host Girls with Hi-Vis® at our live West Boost Pump Station site in partnership with Watercare Services Limited and Connexis this week!

The day was all about opening young women up to the opportunities available in civil construction, plant operation, project management, engineering and beyond.

Students were able to get a real look into what happens on site, with a site tour, traffic management station, excavator operation, and meaningful conversations with people across the industry about different career pathways.

A big part of the day was making the site feel practical, safe and accessible. Our team created dedicated safe walkways and observation areas for the girls, allowing them to experience an active infrastructure site in a controlled and engaging way.

It was great to see the students asking questions, getting involved, and seeing first-hand that there is a place for them in this industry.

Not every student will see university as the right path for them - and that is completely okay.

Some will. Some won’t. What matters is that young people are shown the full range of opportunities available to them.

That is one of the things our industry is fortunate to offer.

From general operatives and apprentices, through to supervisors, project managers, engineers, quantity surveyors, health and safety specialists, finance roles and more, civil construction creates pathways for people with a wide range of strengths, interests and ambitions.

Last Thursday, we attended 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲'𝘀 annual Trades Morning, connecting with students who are beginning to explore what their future could look like.

We spoke about what apprenticeships in our industry involve, the career progression pathways available, the training we support, and the culture we work hard to cultivate.

Really proud to support initiatives that increase visibility of the opportunities within civil construction, helping more young people see that there is more than one pathway to a successful career.

Our Tap In Careers Day with Watercare Services Limited was a huge success.

From the first PPE brief to the final stations, the engagement was unreal.

The girls showed up curious, willing to give things a go, and open to pathways they might not have considered before.

One if the biggest takeaways?

University isn't the only pathway, and the opportunities are expansive in this industry.

Big thanks to everyone involved, and especially the girls who showed up, got stuck in, and gave it a go

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

We are delighted to celebrate our Long Lap Matched Weekend Sponsors - Vulcan Steel, Pipeline & Civil, Freedom Lifestyle Villages

As our first-ever Matched Weekend Sponsors, they backed Long Lappers all the way; every dollar donated doubled across three weekends in April, resulting in $18,000 worth of donations being matched.

While Long Lappers were making moves on the road and in the gym, our sponsors were supporting MATES and ultimately workers on the ground.

Mates helping mates. Stronger Together.

We couldn't be prouder to support the Silverdale Women's Rugby Club 💪🏽

A team of wahine showing what strength, resilience, and teamwork look like in action - backing each other, putting in the work, and leading from the front.

Silverdales values of diversity, ambition, loyalty, and enjoyment embody the same values we strive for on site every day - it's more than just putting in the hard yards together.

Great to see more women stepping up, taking space, and setting the standard both on and off the field.
