As we say good bye to this seasons staff.

We are looking for our next round of operators for the 26/27 season. Starting in September 2026 till April 2027. (We can work around you for start and finish dates)
Based in Reporoa (half way between rotorua and taupo) in the central plateau of the north island

What we are offering;

Your own tractor for the season
No 2 days are the same.
Learning new things.
Family based business.
Shared accommodation, full furnished 3 bedroom cottage
Good team feeling and great laughs.
As a small team we do it all. Driving, workshop, repairs and maintenance.

What we are looking for.
3 operators to work along side our 3 full time staff.
Full driving license
Drug free (yes you will be tested)
Able to work alone and as part of a team
Direct communication with clients
Operating valtra tractors with GPS auto steer
Mechanical and workshop knowledge is an advantage
Record keeping for jobs
(JobFlow electronic job cards)
Hill work
Minimum of 2 years contracting or knowledge of agricultural driving

Must be able to obtain a visa to work in New Zealand

You will be operating:
Full cultivation gear
Discs
Power harrows
Seeders
Undersowers
Precision planters
Maize planters

Grass harvest:
Triple mowers
Rakes 2 rotor and 4 rotor
Tedders
Balers kuhn combi
Loader wagons
Tip trailers, dirt, silage and maize
Stacking tractor and buck rake and wheel loader

Plenty of seed going in the ground now the rain has stopped.
Our disc drill making short work of the job
With 32 runs over 4m (125mm spacings)
2 bins for seed and fert.
Full width roller at the rear.
Paddles at the front if there is anything that needs leveling out.

Heavy duty pallet forks. Proper forklift tines. Adjustable forks. Euro hitch. Professionally built to last. Sand blasted and painted in 2 pot paint. Forks 1200 long. $3000 plus gst.

Couple of weeks ago we had an idea to give our discs a bit of a make over.
We started out with replacement disc blades as they were getting worn.
Then after in lengthy discussions. We decided to go "the whole hog"
So..... with help from Cameron Martelli from Martelli Rural Engineering Ltd we started the rebuild.
As follows.
Full strip of the machine
New disc blades from Proag.Wearparts
New bearings
Off to town for a sand blast and full paint
New bushes
New pins
New wiring
New lights

Then once re built we decided to do a full Hydraulic hose replacement. Thanks to Wayne from taupo hose and fittings for a beautiful job.

Then we ended up with a basically brand new set of discs ready for autumn cultivation.
