It was a busy week up on top of the hill at the latest Kiwispan Rotorua project. All but ready for the cladding. A quick break for some warmer weather in the Gold Coast with the family then we will be firing into a roof once we're back on site

Bathroom number 8 done for the year! This one had some nastyness hiding under the tiled floor. Tiles laid straight on old rotten rimu. A new treated ply floor was in order, new gib, skirting and architraves. Bath swapped for a shower. I'll go back and fit the vanity once the plasterer and painter have done their things.

Trimmed some trees, found a house and a fence. Fixed the ponga fence and a gate. Not a bad start to the week

Finished the cladding today at mum and dads house. Almost a year to the day after receiving the call that work had run out at what was a comfy, guaranteed hours contract. Some great people have come into my life and helped out, and a year on the projects don't seem to be getting any smaller 😂 Feeling thankful for everyone who's had my back, there's no sign of slowing up any time soon!

No work this week! The team is enjoying the wonderful weather on offer in Christchurch. So here's a fence and gate repair from last week. Stripped the pickets off, replaced some rotten rails, refitted the pickets, replaced some damaged ones. Then removed the gates, fixed up some rot and rusty hinges. Rehung the gates and made this property secure again from wandering critters
