Frames and trusses are up at our Leslie Road project, and the shape of this home is really starting to come together.

With a compact footprint, we’ve used high ceilings and scissor trusses to create a greater sense of space and make the home feel light, open and welcoming.

Ever wondered how your interior doors are actually made?

We popped into Total Doors to check out the interior doors being manufactured for our Ohope project and see what goes on behind the scenes before they arrive on site.

From manufacturing and finishing the doors, right through to selecting the hardware, there’s a lot more that goes into it than you might think.

We love getting behind the products we use in our homes and working with local suppliers who help bring each project together.

These ones are nearly ready to head out to Ohope for installation, another step closer to seeing this home take shape.

A pretty special milestone for us at ShapeHomes.

We’re honoured to have one of our projects featured in the July edition of EBOSS alongside Juken New Zealand Ltd.

What makes this feature even more meaningful is that it’s not just about a finished home. It’s about our commitment to continually improving the way we build. After using J-Frame on this project for the first time, the quality, straightness and consistency impressed us so much that it’s now become our standard framing system on future builds.

We’re incredibly grateful to Juken New Zealand for sharing our story and for producing products that help us deliver better outcomes for our clients.

It’s a proud moment to see a local Rotorua build recognised on a platform that showcases some of New Zealand’s best building products and projects.

A front door should make a statement.

This custom solid bronze handle from Blacksand Bronze on Waiheke Island is more than just hardware. Hand cast using traditional sand casting, it was chosen to reflect the harakeke that surrounds our lakeside build and create a connection between the home and its environment.

It’s the small details like this that turn a house into something truly unique.

Looking forward to seeing it installed soon.

Building consent is approved, the site is established, and we’re ready to go. Fencing’s up, signage is in place, the hazard board is set, and we have kicked off the earthworks.

Every great home starts with solid groundwork. Looking forward to bringing this Rotorua infill build to life.
