Happy Mother’s Day Mum 💚
Big thanks to the woman behind Taupo Lawn & Order.
While most people just see me out mowing lawns, they don’t see the person helping with the admin, marketing, scheduling, and everything behind the scenes while still working a full-time job herself.
She’s also spent the last 18 years teaching me important life skills… like how to cook, do laundry, vacuum properly, paint a wall without wrecking it, and eventually become my own alarm clock 😂
The first photo is where it all started, the day the mowing got passed down from my older brother to me. The photos after that are proof Mum’s been making sure I learn a few life skills outside of mowing too 😅
Some people might call the sweeping, vacuuming, painting, and house jobs “slave labour”… Mum calls it “building character.”
Thanks for backing me from day one Mum.

Taupo Lawn & Order is starting to look pretty legit now 👌🌱

Not even a year ago I’d just left school, wasn’t getting any job interviews, and was determined not to go on the dole once I turned 18. So I started with Mum’s car and my parents’ lawnmower and just gave it a crack.

There’s been early mornings, stuff ups, hard lessons and a few curve balls along the way… but we’ve come a long way.

Now the trailer’s loaded with:
• Commercial mower
• W**d eater
• Leaf blower
• And now an edger (that’s getting its own post soon 👀)

Safe to say I’m pretty stoked… hence the massive jump in the photo 😂 Had to send it. When your trailer finally gets sign written properly you’ve gotta celebrate somehow.

Honestly though, I’ve been blown away by the support from my family and this community. Every job, share and recommendation means heaps.

Big thanks again to Quality Print Taupo for backing a young local business.
