REVIEW :
For the past few years I have employed Kurt Houghton’s building company ( K J Houghton Builders ) to slowly repair a small house on my property at Te Kuiti.
This place required a great variety of work done on it to make it habitable for myself and I feel that having Kurt and Alisa take over the work relieved me of a huge amount of organisation which I was clearly not up to doing.
They took on the responsibility of the whole project and sourced the different tradesmen and arranged all the timings of the work - they used tradesmen they have worked with for a number of years and without exception each finished task has been of a very high standard.
The different people involved - builders, roofers, plumbers, electricians, gas fitters, painters as well as others I’m probably unaware of all proved to be polite, tidy and obviously experienced.
As I did not live in Te Kuiti during this process, what could have been a highly stressful experience for me was instead, at all times, a no fuss situation.
Kurt listened to my ideas and if he felt that something I thought of could be achieved is a different way, either cheaper or of a better method, he was excellent at showing me the different options.
The end result is a home I am really proud of which is easy to live in and is even better than I first envisioned.
My thanks to both Kurt and Alisa for all their hard work and helpful advice and I recommend their company to anyone looking for a high standard building company to complete a project.
