Got something at home you’ve been meaning to get done? The timing might just be on your side.

Every now and again in home renovations, schedules shift. Projects move, dates change and things don’t always happen in quite the order you expected.

For us, that occasionally creates a window where we can bring another project forward, and we’ve got one of those windows coming up.

Before we put the word out more widely, we wanted to let the people who already know and follow Wyse first.

So, if there’s something at home you’ve been talking about doing for ages but haven’t quite got around to getting underway, now could be a very good time to talk to us.

It doesn’t have to be a huge renovation. It might be a kitchen or bathroom that needs updating, an alteration that would make your home work better, a deck or outdoor area, a tired part of the house that needs some attention, repairs that have been hanging around on the list, or a collection of building jobs you’d really like to get sorted.

And if you have a larger renovation in mind and you’re ready to get moving, we’d be very happy to hear about that too.

Wyse Construction is a residential building company based in Titirangi, with strong roots in West Auckland, specialising in thoughtful renovations, character homes and bespoke residential projects across Auckland.

Hi everyone, Tom from Wyse Construction here. I'm hoping this post is a blessing for someone who's been meaning to get some work done but has been procrastinating or perhaps something all of a sudden needs addressing.

We’ve got some space coming up in the near future, including capacity for projects ready to get underway. I work closely with homeowners in the area to rework and improve living spaces, from well-considered upgrades through to larger renovations, however there's an immediate opportunity for someone that needs more immediate work addressed.

Hi everyone, Tom from Wyse Construction here.

Easter has a way of slowing things down - giving you a bit more time at home to notice the things you’ve been meaning to sort, and enjoy time with the people (and pets) around you.

We were in Titirangi over at Rebecca and Matt place this week, working away while Bertie and Charlie ran around with Parker and Blue, plus a couple of very impressive rabbits in what might be the best rabbit setup we’ve seen. Bertie was pretty determined to make friends.

Rebecca and Matt are great to work with - really welcoming, easy to chat with, and just good people.

On the tools, James, Mereana and Xavier have been working through a range of maintenance repairs on the home, including one we see quite often in this area - replacing older Taylor fascia and internal spouting with an external system.

These internal gutters have been discontinued due to a design flaw when the gutters block water can flow into the home instead of away from it. It’s one of those things that’s easy to overlook, but worth getting on top of before it becomes a bigger issue.

For this job, we’re using the Marley Typhoon spouting system, which is well suited to handling the kind of rain we get out here in Waitākere.
