Worms are great to see in your soil, they are beneficial for breaking down organic matter and aerating your soil.

Excess worm numbers can be problematic during winter months, as rainfall pushes the worms to the surface to breathe they leave behind their castings and these castings are smeared over the surface during mowing causing the turf to thin and struggle.
