𝗞𝟵𝟮 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

K92 Mining Inc . expects significant production growth at its high grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Papua New Guinea in 2026, building on a record 2025 that saw the completion and commissioning of its Stage 3 Expansion process plant. The company forecasts 190,000 to 225,000 ounces gold equivalent (AuEq) this year, driven by expanded mining fronts, new infrastructure and an enlarged load and haul fleet to lift productivity. With low projected cash costs and ongoing exploration, K92 is positioned for one of its strongest operational years yet.

We’re proud to welcome the latest cohort of students into our Industrial Trainee Program, an important part of how we invest in future talent and capability at K92.

Our recent intake brought 28 students on site, representing more than 11 disciplines, with new areas added this year including Health & Safety and Surveying. Over their 8-week placement, trainees gained hands-on experience across real mining operations, worked alongside our teams, and contributed to projects that shape the future of our business.

For many, this placement is a critical step in completing their degree requirements. For some, it’s already opened the door to graduate roles within K92, reinforcing the strength of our School to Mine Program as a pathway from education to employment.

Our next cohort will begin in June, continuing the momentum of this program and our commitment to developing skills, confidence, and opportunity within the mining industry.

The Mining Sector produces the income BUT wealth distribution and benefit arrangements are too ambigious if any. More robust distribution frameworks and benefit streaming and alignments are needed in the country. e.g. Gold Bullion Bank, Local Refinery, and the most sticky issue, ALL Mining Companies Operating in PNG MUST bring all mineral sales proceeds into PNG amd then pay their bills from PNG, etc.
