King Solomon Hotel has officially revealed its new look today, marking an exciting milestone in the first stage of a major three-stage redevelopment that promises to transform both the hotel and the streetscape of Honiara.

Stage 1 of the redevelopment, scheduled for completion in 2026, is already generating strong public interest. Once completed, it will introduce a completely renewed hotel foyer and reception, setting a modern and welcoming tone for guests and visitors alike. A key highlight is a full commercial kitchen designed to be visible to the public, offering a unique behind-the-scenes dining experience rarely seen in the region.

Adding to the excitement is the inclusion of a microbrewery surrounded by a bar, allowing guests to watch their beer being brewed before enjoying it fresh from the brew kettles. This innovative feature will be complemented by a new, large restaurant and café, complete with modern amenities, positioning the hotel as a vibrant social and culinary hub in the capital.

A Papua New Guinean Chief called Kondom Aguando once said to an audience in Canberra, “I stand in front of you like a child and when I try to speak your language you laugh at my words. But tomorrow my son will come to you and he will talk to you in your language and this time - you will not laugh at him”.

Through God’s grace Chief Aguando’s tomorrow has become our today. Today our studio continues to consolidate itself in a highly competitive industry learning the architectural and project management language of the construction world.
