Red Maple Tree at Halamanan ni Nanay Tetchie 🍁

I feel truly blessed to have not just one, but two gardens—one in Bulacan and one in Baguio City. Caring for plants in two places with completely different weather conditions has been both a challenge and a wonderful learning experience.

One of my favorite garden stories is about my Red Maple Tree in Baguio. A few months ago, I honestly thought it was dying. It had so few leaves that I could practically count them on my fingers! I worried that it might not survive, but nature has a beautiful way of surprising us.

Now, thanks to the cool rainy season of Baguio, my Red Maple is thriving once again. New leaves have emerged, its branches are fuller, and it seems to be happily enjoying the mountain weather. Watching it recover reminds me that plants, like people, sometimes just need the right environment, patience, and a little extra care to flourish.

Here at Halamanan ni Nanay Tetchie, every plant has a story. Some teach patience, others teach resilience, and many bring unexpected joy. Seeing this Red Maple bounce back to life is one of those small garden victories that makes all the effort worthwhile.

From the tropical warmth of Bulacan to the cool misty air of Baguio, my gardening journey continues—one leaf, one bloom, and one happy plant at a time. 🌿❤️🍁

My first kokedama workshop and exhibit at SM City Baguio (Feb 13–15) is truly a blessing—sharing my passion for Kokedama and Bagiw sa Banga with a bigger audience fills my heart with gratitude, thank you SM City Baguio (official) for this opportunity. What started as a simple love for plants has grown into a beautiful way of connecting people, generations, and stories through mindful plant styling. Seeing the younger generation create and appreciate nature reminds me that this is more than a workshop—it’s growing a community with heart. 🌱✨

Where My Plant Journey Began

Plant events aren’t just about plants 🌿
They’re about community—the friends and local growers who first appreciated my kokedama, long before it became a trend.

I met many of them through the very first plant community I joined—the National Cactus & Succulent Organization of the Philippines, Inc. (NCSOPI). From there, friendships grew, knowledge was shared, and my love for plants found a deeper meaning.

These gatherings remind me why I fell in love with plants in the first place: shared stories, exchanged cuttings, learning from each other, and supporting local growers. Every event is more than buying plants—it’s celebrating passion, friendship, and the joy of growing together. 💚
