RESIDENCIA DELA CRUZ
This two-storey residence is a contemporary homage to Spanish-Filipino architecture, blending tradition with modern sensibility.
Anchoring the structure is a Gabion wall fence system, offering both durability and textural contrast. Paired with ornamental grille work, the fencing evokes colonial-era ironwork with a refined, modern touch.
The home’s façade is wrapped in a combination of adobe stone cladding and stucco cement finish, creating a warm, earthy palette that references heritage homes like the bahay na bato.
Above, custom-designed louvered sunscreens, inspired by traditional wooden lattice frames (Callado), filter sunlight while providing privacy—melding function with cultural symbolism.
Finally, a series of gentle arches frames openings and transitions, softening the home’s massing and reinforcing its Spanish character in a subtle, elegant manner.
This is heritage redefined—a space rooted in tradition, yet designed for modern living.
