Today, a part of 1 Million Tree Plantation Campaign, a close plantation at integrated Watershed Management was officially inaugurated by former Speaker and MPA KP Assembly, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani.
A total of 4300 plants were planted. This initiative, led by the Abbottabad Watershed Sub-division, focuses on Integrated Watershed Management to restore our local ecosystem and protect our water resources. A big salute to the activists and the Daur Watershed Division, Students, Local Community, for their commitment to a sustainable future!

یومِ پاکستان 23 مارچ کے موقع پر دور واٹرشیڈ ڈویژن ایبٹ آباد کے زیرِ اہتمام ایک بھرپور شجرکاری مہم کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ اس مہم کا مقصد نہ صرف قومی دن کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کرنا تھا بلکہ ماحول کے تحفظ، جنگلات کے فروغ اور ایک سرسبز و محفوظ پاکستان کی بنیاد رکھنا بھی تھا۔

اس مہم کے دوران شاندار کامیابی حاصل کرتے ہوئے مجموعی طور پر 43,000 پودے لگائے گئے۔ اس میں مختلف سرکاری و نجی اداروں، فیلڈ اسٹاف، ٹیم لیڈرز اور مقامی کمیونٹی نے بھرپور حصہ لیا اور اپنی ذمہ داری کا عملی مظاہرہ کیا۔

یہ اقدام موسمیاتی تبدیلی کے اثرات کو کم کرنے، قدرتی وسائل کے تحفظ اور آنے والی نسلوں کے لیے ایک بہتر ماحول فراہم کرنے کی جانب ایک اہم قدم ہے

A tree plantation and plant distribution event was organized by the Abbottabad Sub-Division of Daur Watershed Division, Abbottabad, on 28th February 2026. The event was formally inaugurated by Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani, MPA, at Pine Hill Institute, Abbottabad.

Mr. Behra Mand Khan, SDFO Abbottabad Watershed Sub-Division, along with village chairmen from various Union Councils of Abbottabad, members of the local community, and watershed staff, actively participated in the activity. The event aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage community participation in afforestation efforts.

On 20/02/2026, under the Spring Tree Planting Campaign 2026, a tree planting and sapling distribution event was organized by Daur Watershed Division at Regional Training Institute, Population Welfare Department, Abbottabad. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Rubina (Head of Institute) by planting Guava fruit tree sapling within the institute premises. Ms. Noushin (CDO), along with the staff of Daur Watershed Division, staff of institute and students actively participated in the event.
Various fruits and forest species were planted and distributed during the event.

تاریخ 19 فروری 2026 کو، ایبٹ آباد بورڈ کے چیئرمین جناب عنایت اللہ وسیم اور ڈی ایف او سید رضوان احمد کاظمی نے بورڈ آفس کے احاطے میں شجرکاری مہم کا باقاعدہ آغاز کرتے ہوئے درخت لگائے۔ اس موقع پر چیئرمین صاحب نے واضح کیا کہ درخت ماحولیاتی توازن کو برقرار رکھنے اور آب و ہوا کے تحفظ میں نمایاں کردار ادا کرتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ درخت کائنات کے پھیپھڑوں کی مانند ہیں جو زمین پر آکسیجن کا منبع ہیں اور زہریلی گیسوں کو جذب کر کے فضا کو پاکیزہ بناتے ہیں۔ لہٰذا، ہمیں زیادہ سے زیادہ درخت لگا کر ماحول کو بہتر بنانے کی کوشش کرنی چاہیے۔

On 17/02/2026, under the Spring Tree Planting Campaign 2026, a tree planting and sapling distribution event was organized by Daur Watershed Division at The City School (Junior Section), Abbottabad to engage educational institutions in the ongoing spring tree planting campaign, 2026. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Ms. Syeda Hina Irshad (Principal of the school) by planting Guava fruit tree sapling within the school premises. Ms. Noushin (CDO), along with the staff of Daur Watershed Division, school teachers and students actively participated in the event.
Various fruits, ornamental and forest species were planted and distributed during the event.

On 13/02/2026, under the Spring Tree Planting Campaign 2026, a tree planting and sapling distribution event was organized by Daur Watershed Division at Beaconhouse School System (Kunhar Campus), Abbottabad. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Ms. Hina (Principal of the school), who formally commenced the event by planting loquat fruit tree sapling within the school premises. Mr. Behramand Khan (SDFO), Ms. Noushin (CDO), along with staff of the Daur Watershed Division and school faculty participated in the event.

Spring Tree Plantation Drive – 11th Feb 2026.

A tree planting and distribution event was organized by the Abbottabad Sub-Division of the Daur Watershed Division at District Court Abbottabad, on 11th Feb 2026. The event was inaugurated by Honourable District and Session Judge Mr. Abid Sarwer, by planting a Poplar sapling within the Court premises.

Mr. Behramand Khan SDFO Abbottabad Watershed Sub-Division, Mr. Imran Younes President Abbottabad Bar Council, Mr. zahid Akram, Senior Probation Officer, actively participated in the activity.

Spring Tree Plantation Campaign – Havelian Watershed Range
Date: 10th February 2026
Overview:
Under the supervision of the COD Havelian Commandant and with the support of the Havelian Watershed Range, a Spring Tree Plantation Campaign was successfully launched on 10th February 2026. The campaign aimed at promoting environmental sustainability, enhancing greenery in the region, and fostering tree plantation awareness among students and staff.
Participation:
The campaign witnessed active participation from the following esteemed officers and staff:
Sohail Bashir (Colonial)
Lt. Col. Mudassar Shah
Lt. Col. Rizwan Bukhari
Major Faisal
Riyasat Sahib (Administrative Officer)
Shahnawaz Khan (PA to Commandant)
In addition, Range Officer Syed Hammad Shah, along with Foresters and Forest Guards of Havelian Watershed Range, actively took part in the plantation activities.
Furthermore, students from Army Public School (APS) also participated enthusiastically, working alongside the officers and field staff. Various fruit, ornamental and forest species have been planted during the event.
