We had the privilege of briefing the World Bank representative on the progress of the 765kV Grid Station Mansehra project on behalf of PowerChina SEPCO1.
During the visit, we highlighted the completed and ongoing works including:
🔹 Switchyard foundations (765kV & 220kV)
🔹 Control House Building (CHB) & (MSB)
🔹 Administration block and residential colony buildings for officers, staff, and security teams
The representative expressed great satisfaction with the progress achieved so far. We also discussed the bottlenecks and technical challenges, particularly the excavation in hard strata, drainage, retaining wall and slope protection works, necessitated by the extremely difficult topography of the site, where elevation differences between the two yards reach 8m and 13m.
It was encouraging to see appreciation not only for the design team’s dedicated efforts but also for the site team’s commitment to delivering quality work under challenging terrain conditions.
