OBITUARY

✝️ REST IN PEACE: BHAI NADEEM DANIEL

The Family of St. Patrick Sahiwal, deeply saddened by the passing of our dear brother and friend, Nadeem Daniel (the beloved brother of our parishioners, Mr. Waseem Daniel and Mrs. Angela Saleem).

While we mourn his loss, we take comfort in knowing he has stepped out of this earthly life and into eternal joy with our Creator.

Our heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences go out to the bereaved family and everyone who loved him.

THE SOLEMNITY OF PENTECOST 🔥

Pentecost Sunday was celebated at St. Patrick's Church, Sahiwal on May 24, 2026.

Derived from the Greek word for "fiftieth day, Pentecost is celebrated fifty days after Easter to commemorate the Holy Spirit descending upon the Apostles.

SIGNIFICANCE:

This event is considered the official inauguration of the Christian Church and the start of its global mission to evangelize.

JEWISH CONTEXT (SHAVUOT):

Pentecost corresponds with the Jewish festival of Shavuot, which celebrates the conclusion of the Passover season and the giving of the Torah to Moses on Mount Sinai.

BIBLICAL ACCOUNT:

According to scripture, the event was marked by a rushing wind and tongues of fire, empowering the Apostles to speak in different languages, allowing a diverse crowd to understand the message in their own native tongues.

CONTEMPRARY IMPACT:

EASTERTIDE

FIFTH SUNDAY AFTER EASTER/MOTHER'S DAY

Today we honored the unconditional love and endless sacrifices of mothers with a special celebration filled with joy, gratitude, and heartfelt tribute through moving songs, emotional speeches, and by gifting flowers by our Sunday School Children, Youth Fellowship, and Senior Parishioners.

A heartfelt thank you to all the mothers for being a constant source of love and inspiration. 💐

OBITUARY

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His faithful servants." — Psalm 116:15

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved mother in Christ, Mrs. Mubarak Samson who went to be with her Savior today early morning.

A pillar of our congregation for many years, she was a faithful servant whose life was a true testimony of faith, love, and service.

She will be dearly missed, but we rejoice knowing she is now resting in the arms of the Father.

Funeral details will be shared later.

EASTER SUNDAY 2026

Alleluia! Jesus is Risen,
He is Risen Indeed!

Easter is the celebration of Christ's resurrection from the dead, celebrated on Sunday, it marks the end of Holy Week, the end of Lent, and the conclusion of the Easter Triduum (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday).
It also signals the beginning of Eastertide in the liturgical year.

Today, we do not just remember a moment; we celebrate a miracle. The stone was rolled away. The tomb was found empty. Death was defeated, and love won forever.

Easter is not just a celebration; it is a reminder of what love endured and what love conquered.
It means death does not win. It means hope arises. Most importantly, it means Jesus did it for all of us.

Let this day mark a fresh start, a new beginning and a celebration of grace. Because Jesus lives, so that we can live happy, we can live free, and eventually we can live again.

Members of the congregation also attended the traditional post-service breakfast.
