foi oficialmente fundado em Setembro de 1992 e tem como objetivo a construção artesanal de instrumentos tradicionais portugueses. O método tradicional de construção que há mais de 100 anos foi iniciado pelo mestre Joaquim José Machado, avô dos atuais mestres Manuel Carvalho e José Carvalho, constitui, ainda hoje, a base para esta arte de fabrico, o que faz com que cada instrumento seja uma verdade

The main Luthiers Manuel Carvalho and José Carvalho have learned the traditional method from their grandfather the Master Joaquim José Machado – a reference in the history of the Portuguese chordophones. To this day these methods, more than a 100 years old, are in place and can be considered the secret behind the quality of the Artimúsica brand name instruments. The craftsmanship of our luthiers work is well known in Portugal and around the world. Our brand name is what represents us the best: the wisdom of making great quality instruments like a piece of art at an affordable price. In Portugal Artimúsica is the reference when it comes to manufacture of the Portuguese Guitar, main instrument played in the FADO music (UNESCO’s list of World´s Intangible Cultural Heritage). We also manufacture Cavaquinho (the grandfather instrument of the Ukulele), the Ukulele, the Mandolin, Classical Guitars among other string instruments
