Established in 1971, PIF had built a good balance over the years. From people to processes, their way of working – worked.

It was our task, not to change their way of working, but to change the environment they worked in. Not to subtract, but to add.

Changing the designs, layouts and furnishings was the easy part. The difficulty was doing it in a way that kept the balance.

Part of the balance was their collaborative working style. And they wanted the layout of the office space to reflect that.

Equally, they wanted dedicated spaces for privacy, too. But they didn't want it to feel closed off from the rest of the space.

This meant merging two styles in one space. All without breaking the balance.

While working on a new project in Jeddah, we quickly realised we had to leave our pricing methods at the border.

The Saudi government had imposed new restrictions on imported goods – causing increased costs and major delays.

Faced with this unexpected challenge, we took it on with optimism, evaluating the risks, planning ahead, and making contingency plans where we could.

We had to find the best quality substitutes possible. Assessing certifications, reports, and clearance procedures for each material.

Going above and beyond to shield our clients from the change turned out to be a great accomplishment. One which made the project succeed – proving that with the right team and enough optimism, anything is possible.

Our latest project combined both – with a full fit out for their shop in Jeddah.

As luxury chocolatiers, Patchi wanted a shop that looked as good as their chocolate tastes.

From the terrace to the tills, we took extra care to make the whole thing – tasteful.
