Noisy is one of the community cats I care for every night. He isn't from Ong's Kampong, but from another block where his dedicated feeder sadly passed away last year. Since then, I've taken over the night feeding for him.
His name is Noisy because... well, he lives up to it! He has the loudest, most energetic meow, and is an incredibly friendly and affectionate boy.
A few days ago, his morning feeder noticed that he was limping. When I went for the night feed, he was still limping slightly. At first, we hoped it was just a sprain, especially since he's always jumping onto and perching on top of cars.
When his limp didn't improve after several days, we decided not to wait any longer. He was trapped and brought to the vet yesterday.
Thankfully, his X-rays showed no fractures, which was a huge relief. However, Dr. Clara found that his elbow was swollen and discovered a small scratch wound, likely from a cat fight, which has become infected. She also noted some stiffness in his hips, but thankfully it isn't a major concern at the moment.
The good news is that Noisy's temperature is normal and he is eating well. The vet has advised that he be kept indoors so he can be closely monitored to ensure his condition improves and doesn't worsen. He has now been discharged and is staying with a boarder for the next 1–2 weeks while he recovers.
We are appealing for $800 to help cover Noisy's veterinary expenses, as well as his boarding, transportation, and follow-up care.
