Do you journal? If it is a yes, what is the reason you do and still doing it? If it is a no, why not or why did you stop?
My kids used to journal when they were younger but somehow life took over the joy of writing. Busy, they said. No idea what to write, they explained. I guessed I’m the special one in the family to find pure joy in journal writing. It helps me to clear my head, prioritize issues, concerns and even fear. I’m able to identify and accept my emotions, easing the symptoms of mental stress. These numerous self-talks gave me the inner peace I need.
Last Monday wasn’t a fine day, even though it was supposed to be fantastic since it was my birthday. I was counting my blessings when a tragedy happened. A young life was brutally taken while many others were badly traumatized. The shock, the pain, the confusion, the anger and the helplessness.. I have to pen down this day. This enables me to reorganize my thoughts and a chance to reflect.
May the ones who are suffering from within seek help. There is no shame to show one’s vulnerability. May everyone of us lookout for one another. Show someone that you care and that no one will be left behind.
