Centaur Asia Pacific recently demonstrated how DryJect and Profile PPC can work together to transform a soggy green into one of the course’s strongest performing surfaces.

Using DryJect with ‘Maximus’ injectors, deep pe*******on was achieved beyond the thatch layer, breaching into the virgin sand underneath, something difficult to achieve with traditional mechanical aeration methods. This 550m² green was aerated and backfilled in under an hour, with just a simple rub in before being back in play the same day, allowing golfers to enjoy their round without putting through sand.

Injected through DryJect, Profile PPC delivers a 39% internal water holding capacity, helping roots access moisture for longer during dry conditions while reducing irrigation demand. At the same time, it maintains 35% of its internal structure as air, supporting a healthier and more vibrant rootzone.

The result is a green that can breathe better, drain faster after heavy rain, and perform more consistently.

Centaur Malaysia was on site this week at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC), working alongside Gareth Williams (Faldo Design), Adam Calver (General Manager, KLGCC), and Owen Hester and Sean Griffin (Green Dynasty) on the East Course renovation.

The bunkers are already starting to take shape, with Capillary Bunkers, EcoBunker, and LOKSAND playing a key role in bringing the design vision to life. It is encouraging to see how these systems are coming together to deliver the intended look, playability, and long term performance from the ground up.

A strong start, with all involved pleased with the progress so far.

Looking forward to seeing how the KLGCC East Course continues to evolve in the months ahead.

Hydrowick drainage installation continues at Indooroopilly Golf Club, Australia with another 1,140 linear metres successfully completed by the Centaur team.

Designed to improve drainage performance, Hydrowick works by drawing excess water away from the surface through a passive wicking system. This helps keep turf firmer and more playable, even after heavy rainfall.
