Our client was prepared to replace her entire shower screen for better privacy—but after assessing the existing setup, we advised her that there was no need to spend unnecessarily. The hardware was still in good condition, so we refreshed the screen with our SGE Opaque Black Film and replaced the yellowing rubber seals. The result? A shower screen that looks almost brand new, without the cost of a full replacement.

Frosted or opaque glass—which should you choose?

It’s one of the questions we get asked most during site assessments.

Both are suitable for bathroom entrances, but they offer very different experiences.

Frosted glass allows more light through, keeping the space brighter—but shadows and silhouettes can be more apparent.

Opaque glass offers greater privacy by allowing little to no light through, but the bathroom may feel darker and rely more heavily on artificial lighting.

So, which is better?

Our client wanted more than just a mirror on the household shelter door—they wanted it fully concealed.
