First rains (I live on the border of the desert... ) Humid hot summer days. Endless battles with bugs and fungi, all in the name or self sufficiency through organic practices.

Talk about the ultimate challenge! I'm here for it. It's not easy and that's alright with me.

Slide 1 & 2) In a season of firsts are my first vertically grown cucumbers. The vine is vining and the cucumbers haven't fallen off. Experiment successful, vertical farming is definitely my thing.😎

Slide 3) Growing a banana tree in a plant pot. I'm an urban gardener, they said it can be done and I'm doing it. When I first planted the suckers I was a bit nervous. But not anymore, this baby is thriving.

Slide 4) This is my first crop of cherry tomatoes. Honestly, it seemed like they took forever to ripen and when they finally did I was so overjoyed I almost forgot to take a pic.😅

There's a first time for everything. I've never thought to plant peppers before but I had bought some at the market and when the idea came to me, I said, "Why not."
Turns out peppers are quite easy to grow. Sun, water, and a pot with the right soil. From there Mother Nature does the rest.

Cool tip: When growing plants from market produce select the biggest healthiest fruit or veggie to source seeds from. If your fruits and veggies are true, they will have seeds and produce fruit with seeds so you can keep planting well into the future. 💚🌶️
