A rite of passage for all flower girls! The journey from planting to bloom. The first(of many?!)dahlias at flourish this week! I have a row of tuber grown, a row of seedlings I sprouted, and a small patch of rooted cuttings from salvaged pinched tops🥰 I studied Discovering Dahlia’s book all winter to prepare, and am still battling an active gopher infestation, but can confirm I am bitten by the dahlia bug 🐞 can’t wait to see what else blooms in the field soon✨

Ranunculus has humbled me in 2026😅 between Oklahoma skipping spring & gophers, I have maybe gathered 75 very sub par stems. They have come out my ears the past three years running! 😭 sometimes it be like that! What flower has humbled you in 2026?
