It looked like a hitch problem.
It wasn’t. 👀
Once we got into this trailer, we found the problem went much deeper than simply removing the old hitch and bolting on a new one.
The frame needed to be straightened.
The damaged area needed to be properly repaired.
And the welding needed to be done RIGHT before a new hitch ever went back on.
Because replacing the part you can see while ignoring the structure underneath it?
That’s not a repair we’re willing to put our name on.
So we stripped it down, straightened the frame, welded everything properly, replaced the entire hitch assembly, and got this trailer back where it needed to be.
Swipe through these photos and you’ll see the story unfold.
This is exactly why we tell trailer owners: if something looks bent, cracked, shifted, or just doesn’t feel right when you’re towing, don’t assume it’s “just the hitch.”
Sometimes what you can see is only the beginning.
