Cleaning gutters in the Amarillo area

206 foot of dirt packed gutters. Normally this would be a much easier job but due to the steep pitch of the roof, it had to all be done by ladder and hand. 8, almost full, 5 gallon buckets is a new record for me I think!

Installs was something I didn't plan on doing for a while but when you have a friend that needs downspouts, you learn on the fly. Not sure why the original owner didn't get downspouts with their install to begin with, but it was a good learning experience for myself.

These gutter guards did a good job of keeping the leaves out but not so much the famous panhandle dirt. Two 5 gallon buckets almost full. Wonder how much of that dirt was from our recent weather events.

It's that time of year again to start thinking about cleaning and maintenance. This is one of my regular customers. Being on a recurring schedule makes it easier to clean. I had this house done in under an hour. The 2nd picture is some of the damage that has been caused previous to cleaning because of excessive build up. Even with gutter guards, your gutters still need to be cleaned. Dirt and small pieces of leaves and twigs will find their way in. Once the dirt builds up it’ll stop the proper flow of water to your downspouts. Schedule your free estimate before the winter weather hits.

The leaves are falling and will only add to any build up you currently have. Best practice is to have your gutters cleared out before winter is in full effect and then have another cleaning in the spring. This one was a delayed finish. The dirt was so compacted that it broke my scraping tool. Had to wait for a new one to come in. Got them all scraped, blown, and even power washed them to get some of the harder to clean spots.
