So a customer asked me the other day, "Do I need soffit vents if I already have Gable vents?" The answer: Yes, you want soffit vents for your air intake. ... You also want to draw air in from the soffits which are on the underside of the roof and exhaust it out roof vents located toward ridge. requires at least the same, if not more soffit vent area than you have ridge/gable vents. Proper Ventilation in a house's attic will lengthen the life of Shingles, Central heat and air unit (along with energy efficiency), lower gas and electric bills, and keep your attic cooler which in turn will keep living area cooler! 😎❄️❄️❄️
