You go out to water a few pots and suddenly you're pulling weeds, deadheading spent flowers, untangling a root-bound tomato, spotting a caterpillar you need to identify, and deep in conversation with the neighbor about starting a compost bin. Next thing you know it's dark and dinner's still frozen. Every gardener knows this one.

These plants are suffering because they are being suffocated by mulch. There is a right way and wrong way to apply mulch. Also this mulch is garbage. Be careful with what you are buying. We use the best quality Hemlock bark. We deliver and install as well.

We have some beautiful hemlock mulch but for those who want to save some money here's an option we provide. Color it!

The plant on the left is a two-year plant and the one on the right is this year's plant. This is why you have to get the whole root when you're weeding. The one on the left was a little more stubborn and if I let it be next year would be even more difficult. Let's go! Keep at it!
