Roofing with a view! One of few moments as a roofer, when you take a deep breath soak it all in and enjoy the view.

Seriously if you have a plastic skylight its gonna leak. It's not a matter of if, its a matter of when.

Here we have another example of why you shouldn't go with plastic.

What's going on with change orders? - they are a very common part of the industry. Some are inevitable and legit. Others are lack of through inspections and predatory. Keep an eye out and work with a roofer that is willing to do the extra work to avoid surprises. 👷‍♂️🔍🔨

How do I determine if a roofing contractor is legit? - go through their reviews on google, Facebook and check out their work. If they're legit they won't be afraid to post their work everywhere or ask for references. Look out for red flags like pushy salesmen, buy now "discounts", insurance scams if theyre telling you insurance will pay for your whole roof with nothing out of pocket they are lying. 🔴😲

It they are being straightforward about the price, inspecting your attic, actually inspecting the roof (no drones), they provide you with reference and pictures of their work, and are not pushing you to buy right away then they're probably legit. 🟢😮‍💨

Can you find all 12 popped nails on this roof? Poor workmanship is the number one reason roofs leaks, even on a new roof! This roof already had about 12 different patched areas. All together about 24 exposed nails, popped nails, and one in particular that leaked during heavy rains. The best way to protect yourself when getting a new roof installed is to work with a roofing company, with great work ethic and integrity.
