Out with the old and in with the new. This customer lost a phase to his main panel due to a power surge in conjunction with old cabling. The surge also fried the old equipment ground. We were called in to replace everything from the panel to the weather head. Don’t wait until it’s too late. We recieved a call due to a small electrical fire in the Scranton area. The breaker was oversized for the wire that was on it which resulted in a no trip situation even though the wires were arcing. I cannot stress this enough. Just because it works, does not mean it is right. It is very important to have a qualified electrician doing work on your house or building. Don’t be afraid to ask for credentials because it might just save you from a hazardous situation.

Much like a boiler is the heart of your heating system, your service is the heart of your electric. This house was in desperate need of an upgrade to a 200 amp service. The homeowner wanted to add some electric heat as well as consolidate three panels into one large panel. Not only does it look cleaner, but it is much safer. The old panels had double and triple tapped breakers along with most of them being oversized for the gauge of wire on them. This can lead to fires, especially in older homes due to overheating of the wires from too much current being drawn.

Some before and after pictures of a service replacement in Hazleton. The service cable had a lot of broken insulation so we replaced it with conduit for life long protection of the wires. The customer also asked us to clean up the unused coax cables while we were there and it made a huge difference.

This customer in Wilkes barre wanted the service replaced from the weather head down to the main feed on his panel. The existing panel was to remain since it was recently replaced but we did our due diligence and added a surge protector to meet current code requirements. We’re not your typical Monday through Friday shop. Sometimes working the weekend is required to work around the customer’s schedule. We were called in to finish the wiring of this new detached garage. The underground had already been completed by the general contractor and the customer called us to get power to the garage and wire it for lights, door openers and outlets. In addition, he wanted a 50 amp generator plug on his house for those inconvenient power outages. No job too big or too small for us to handle. Give us a call today ⚡️
