In just 2½ months, the Flag Retirement Disposal Box placed by the Arp Garden Club at the Arp Veterans Memorial has received 100 American flags.

Our community has shown incredible respect for our nation’s symbol, and we are honored to help provide a proper place for these worn and tattered flags.

Each flag is turned over to the Royal Rangers of Arp, who perform a respectful, faith centered retirement ceremony.
This service has been much needed in our area, and we are grateful for everyone who has helped make it meaningful.

We encourage all communities in our region to continue using the disposal box whenever you have a flag ready for retirement. Together, we can ensure every American flag is honored with the dignity it deserves.

The Arp Garden Club was thrilled to welcome Smokey Bear at Arp Elementary’s Meet the Teacher Night! Families stopped by to learn about this year’s exciting National Garden Club youth contests and how creativity can help teach important lessons about conservation, wildfire prevention, and caring for our environment.
It was wonderful seeing some of last year’s winners. Their enthusiasm was so inspiring

We’ve had several people ask how the flags placed in our Flag Retirement Box at the Arp Veterans Memorial are being retired. Now you can see the process for yourself.

Come join Arp’s Royal Rangers as they conduct a flag disposal ceremony honoring our American Flags.
They will perform a respectful, faith‑centered Flag Retirement Ceremony to properly retire the worn and tattered flags donated by our community.

It’s a meaningful opportunity to witness how each flag is honored with dignity, prayer, and gratitude for the veterans it represents.

Will post update as soon as date is confirmed.
