Progress on the lower level of the Sunrise Treehouse!

Paint is up on the lower level, and we’re loving how it’s coming together. The homeowners selected colors that coordinate with the existing upper level, giving the entire Treehouse a cohesive, intentional look while still letting the new space have its own character.

With the exterior taking shape, this new tiny unit is starting to feel like a natural extension of the original structure.

Next up, we’ll be starting a new deck off the front, complete with custom railing to complement the unique character of the upper level.

We’re back at the Sunrise Treehouse for an exciting new phase of this unique Asheville project!

The owner/architect is beginning the process of enclosing the lower portion of the structure to create a new tiny living unit beneath the existing treehouse.

We’ve started by framing in the open structure, framing and installing the new windows, and installing exterior siding to begin transforming the lower level into an enclosed space.

Next up: paint!

We’re excited to see this next chapter of the Sunrise Treehouse come together and will be sharing more progress along the way.

Our South Asheville kitchen renovation is officially complete!

This project was all about giving the homeowner a more functional, updated kitchen while keeping some of the character they already loved. The original cabinets had an aqua color they wanted to preserve, so the new unfinished cabinetry was professionally sprayed in a similar custom finish.

We paired the aqua cabinets with warm Hevea butcher block countertops, a new matte white tile backsplash, and black accents, creating a kitchen that feels colorful, inviting, and unique without losing its original personality.

Black Mountain Cabinetry & Design helped redesign the layout and supplied and installed the new cabinetry, giving the homeowners more storage and a kitchen that works much better for their needs.

We recently installed Hevea butcher block countertops, and they complement the custom aqua cabinet color and black accents beautifully. The warm natural wood adds just the right amount of contrast and character to the space.

Cabinet color is going on in our South Asheville kitchen remodel!

The homeowner loved the aqua color of the original cabinets, so we carried that same look into the new design. The unfinished cabinets were professionally sprayed with a high-quality cabinet paint for a smooth, durable finish that keeps the character she loved while giving the kitchen a fresh new look.

Progress update from our South Asheville kitchen remodel!

The new cabinets are officially installed. Our client selected unfinished Kemper cabinetry so she could choose a completely custom paint color for the space.

Black Mountain Cabinetry & Design redesigned the kitchen layout and supplied and installed the cabinetry, helping create a more functional kitchen with plenty of additional storage.

Next up: paint and countertops. We’re excited to see the custom color bring everything together!

We recently started a kitchen renovation in South Asheville.

The homeowner liked the light blue color and overall style of the original cabinets, but the quality wasn’t where she wanted it to be — and she needed more storage. The plan is to keep the existing island as-is, replace the surrounding cabinets, and upgrade the remaining countertops with a butcherblock-style material.

We began by removing the old cabinets, which were donated to the local Habitat for Humanity ReStore instead of being thrown away. After removal, we patched the drywall and prepped the space for the new cabinet installation.

Sometimes a small change can make a big difference.

We recently completed a kitchen window addition for a client who wanted to be able to look out over their backyard while standing at the sink. This project included cutting through the wall and siding, installing the new window, and carefully tying the trim and siding back in so the finished result looked seamless.

It’s a great example of how a thoughtful upgrade can add more natural light, improve the feel of a kitchen, and make an everyday space more enjoyable.

We recently completed this front stair and patio tile project in West Asheville.

The existing terra cotta tiles were old, cracked, and ready for an update, so we removed them and installed a modern ceramic tile for a cleaner, more durable finish. It’s a simple change that made a big impact on the home’s entryway and gave the front of the house a much fresher look.

We recently wrapped up this kitchen project at a cabin in Candler, NC and it turned out beautifully.

This project included extending the existing peninsula, adding a dishwasher and full-size range, updating the countertops with leathered granite, installing new windows, and finishing the back of the peninsula with rough-sawn wood for a warm, cabin-style look.

The stained glass pendant lights add the perfect touch of character and tie the whole space together. We’re really happy with how this one came together and grateful to help make this cabin kitchen more functional while keeping its charm.
