We recently wrapped up this kitchen project at a cabin in Candler, NC and it turned out beautifully.

This project included extending the existing peninsula, adding a dishwasher and full-size range, updating the countertops with leathered granite, installing new windows, and finishing the back of the peninsula with rough-sawn wood for a warm, cabin-style look.

The stained glass pendant lights add the perfect touch of character and tie the whole space together. We’re really happy with how this one came together and grateful to help make this cabin kitchen more functional while keeping its charm.

Completed project in Candler!

The homeowner originally contacted us to replace a set of dilapidated front stairs, but during our evaluation we discovered structural issues with the existing deck as well. We recommended addressing both at the same time to ensure the entire entry was safe, stable, and built to last.

This rebuild features a double staircase that meets at a central landing before leading up to the front porch, creating a clean and welcoming entrance to the home. We also built large landings at the base of each staircase using railroad ties and gravel to create a durable, low-maintenance transition from the yard to the stairs.

The entire structure was rebuilt using pressure-treated lumber for long-term durability and weather resistance.

We’re proud of how this one turned out and appreciate the homeowners trusting us with the project from start to finish.

Deck repair project underway in Candler, NC!

The homeowner originally called us out to evaluate and replace the front stairs to their home after they had become unsafe due to age and deterioration. Once we got on site, we discovered the larger issue — the entire deck had shifted out of level and was beginning to fall away from the cabin.

Rather than only replacing the stairs, we recommended addressing the structural issues at the same time to make sure the deck would be safe and stable for years to come. We started by removing the old staircase and carefully jacking the deck back into position — lifting it roughly 6 inches until it was level again. From there, we installed temporary 4x4 posts before setting the new permanent 6x6 supports to safely carry the load of the structure.

Next up: rebuilding the new double staircase down to the ground!

Projects like this are a great reminder that aging decks often have hidden structural problems underneath the surface. If your deck feels uneven, bouncy, or unsafe, it may be time for an inspection.

We recently completed a small bathroom update in Biltmore Forest. This project started with an old leaking tub that needed to be replaced. We installed a new insulated cast-iron tub for improved durability, heat retention, and long-term performance.

To freshen up the space, we also updated the paint and installed new plumbing fixtures for a clean, timeless look. Small bathroom renovations like this can make a big difference in both comfort and functionality while helping prevent future water damage issues.

We’re excited to share that our latest new home build in Asheville, NC is officially finished. This home was designed for a growing family and features 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and an open-concept first floor that connects the living room, dining area, and kitchen. Upstairs includes all bedrooms along with a primary suite featuring a walk-in closet and custom tile shower.

The home was built with energy efficiency and future upgrades in mind, including spray foam insulation and wiring for future solar panels. Outside, a welcoming front porch and a large wraparound back deck with hog-wire railing create great spaces to enjoy the surrounding mountain setting.

Kitchen renovation progress in Candler, NC!

We’ve made some great progress in this space with the installation of granite countertops featuring a leathered finish, which adds a subtle texture and a really nice natural look to the kitchen. The homeowners also chose stained glass light fixtures that bring a lot of character and warmth to the space.

Next up on the list: installing the new windows, which will bring in more natural light and complete the transformation of this kitchen.

We’re currently working on a kitchen remodel in Candler, NC, where the homeowners wanted to modernize and improve the functionality of their space without starting completely from scratch.

To make it happen, we:
✔️ Relocated cabinets to extend the length of the peninsula
✔️ Re-skinned the backside using the original rough-sawn planks to keep that character intact
✔️ Created space for a new dishwasher and a full-sized range

The layout already feels more open and practical — and we’re not done yet.

Next up: ✨ new lighting and countertops to tie everything together.

Big upgrade on our new home build in Asheville!

Originally, the plans called for a smaller back deck — but since we had some room left in the budget, the homeowner decided to go bigger… and we’re glad they did.

We expanded the footprint and wrapped the deck around the house to connect to the side door, creating better flow and more usable outdoor living space.

To finish it off, we incorporated hog wire panels into the railing system — giving it a clean, modern look while keeping the view open and unobstructed.

We recently had this beautiful wood-burning stove installed in our new home build here in Asheville — and it’s quickly become the heart of the home.

The natural flagstone surround is not only stunning, but also highly functional. It provides a durable, heat-resistant surface while adding texture and timeless mountain character to the space.
