REI started in a kitchen with a couple of clients and an idea for doing things differently.

As we grew, we kept listening to our clients and building around what they needed, bringing more services under one roof and making it easier to get answers and get work done.

Today, we support utilities and cooperatives so they can stay focused on what matters most: serving their members and keeping power flowing to their communities.

That’s what REI has been about from the beginning: serving those who serve others with reliability, ethics and integrity.

Something big is coming at our HQ! 🚧

We just broke ground on our new office. This will give us more space to grow our team, better serve our customers, and keep showing up for the communities we're a part of. As we expand, our core remains the same: reliability, ethics, and integrity, in service of those who serve others.

We're proud to partner with Roosevelt County Electric Cooperative to help strengthen the reliability of their electric distribution system through proactive utility pole testing.

Pole testing plays an important role in identifying potential issues before they become larger problems, helping utilities make informed maintenance decisions and support reliable service for their members.

Thank you to the RCEC team for your partnership—we're excited to be working together.

Beginning today, RCEC has contracted REI Utility to perform utility pole testing in the areas north and west of Portales, as well as Tinsley Crossing (NM-480) area.

Members in these areas may notice REI Utility personnel working on or near their property as they inspect and test utility poles. If you see these two technicians in a white Ford F-150 with REI Utility decals, they are working on behalf of RCEC.

Pole testing helps evaluate the structural integrity of utility poles, identify potential issues before they become problems, and extend the service life of our electric distribution system.

Yesterday, the REI Utility Services team came together for our Summer Field Day in Athens, Texas. It was a chance to step away from the day-to-day, connect with coworkers, enjoy some friendly competition, and recognize the people who make REI what it is.

From team-building activities and games to great food and employee appreciation, the day was a reminder of the strong culture we've built together.

Thank you to everyone who participated and to those who helped make the event possible. We appreciate all that our employees do for our customers, communities, and each other.

Ten years ago, REI Utility Services started with a dad and his two sons. Today, nearly 100 of us help serve utilities and communities across the country.
