This no cooling call lead to the discovery of a very burnt and locked up compressor.

With the indoor and outdoor units only being 8 years old it did not make sense for a complete replacement.
It’s a lengthy process to properly clean and flush the acidic oil from the coils and line set but well worth the cost savings.

The first picture speaks volumes for the importance of a maintenance program. With the wet weather we have been experiencing for months the ants took refuge in the condenser and ultimately ruined it.
