🔥 EXTREME HEAT IS HERE — keep your home cool & your AC happy
A few tips from your friends at Slaymaker Heating and Air Conditioning to help you beat the heat:
☀️ Shut your blinds doors to the outside — especially on the sunny side of the house. Blocking that direct sunlight makes a huge difference.
🌡️ Set your temp and leave it alone — don’t crank it up when you leave and drop it back down later. Your system has to work way harder to recover than it does to just hold steady. The hotter it is outside the harder your unit is working to keep up.
💦 Hose your AC unit down every now and then — clearing off the dust and gunk helps it breathe and do its job better.
🌙 Run fans — ceiling fans let you feel a few degrees cooler so you can bump the thermostat up a notch without noticing.
🚪 Keep doors and vents open INSIDE so air flows freely and your system isn’t fighting itself.
