How Does a Carlton Stump Grinder Work? 🤔

A stump grinder doesn’t pull the stump out, it grinds it away! A high-speed cutting wheel with carbide teeth shaves the stump down a little at a time, turning it into wood chips. The stump is typically ground several inches below the surface, leaving the area ready for grass, landscaping, or your next project.

The answer? Usually, not, but it depends on the type of tree. One thing we know for sure, leaving the stump could cause stump sprouting, and if that happens the tree is trying to grow again! That’s why we say Grind um’ up! 💪

Georgia is taking its shot at the College World Series tonight in Omaha, and while the Bulldogs are in Nebraska chasing a championship, we spent the day working right beside Foley Field in Athens, where the road to Omaha began. ⚾🐾

Just like a great baseball team clears obstacles on the way to the big game, we were clearing the way for what comes next by removing an old stump and getting this property ready for its next chapter.

From Foley Field to Omaha, it’s all about solid fundamentals, hard work, and finishing the job the right way.
