⚠️ IMPORTANT: Check your county’s current warnings and stay prepared.
🏠 HURRICANE SAFETY TIPS:
✅ Follow evacuation orders. If officials tell you to leave, leave early. Do not wait until roads become dangerous.
✅ Stay away from floodwater. Never drive or walk through flooded roads. Turn around, don’t drown!
✅ Prepare for power outages. Charge phones, power banks, and other essential devices.
✅ Gather emergency supplies. Keep drinking water, nonperishable food, medications, flashlights, batteries, a first-aid kit, and important documents ready.
✅ Stay indoors. Keep away from windows and glass doors. Shelter in a small interior room on the lowest safe floor, away from flood-prone areas.
✅ Be ready for tornado warnings. Move to a small interior room on the lowest floor, away from windows, and protect your head.
✅ Never use a generator indoors. Keep generators outside, at least 20 feet from doors, windows, and vents, to prevent deadly carbon monoxide poisoning.
✅ Don’t go sightseeing after the storm. Downed power lines, debris, flooded roads, and weakened structures can remain dangerous long after the winds calm down.
🐾 PLEASE DON’T FORGET YOUR PETS! Bring them inside, secure carriers and leashes, and take their food, water, and medications if you evacuate.
