A few members of our Blue River team recently returned from the CMiC's CONNECT 2025 Conference in Palm Springs. 🙌 We learned a lot, but even better, we got to meet people who are dealing with the same day-to-day challenges and coming up with really smart ways to solve them. Not to mention that CMiC always throws a great party!

Our work is often NOT glamorous; however, we strive EVERYDAY to add VALUE for our clients!

Recently, one of our clients tasked us with installing underground conduit for a new security camera system. But there was a catch - the site was built on blasted rock, making conduit installation a costly challenge.

Instead of pushing forward with the original plan, we worked with the owner and their on-site team to come up with a smarter approach: 1. Upgrade the site lighting to new LED fixtures. 2. Consolidate the electrical circuitry, and finally... 3. Repurpose the existing conduit to allow fiber to run alongside the new wiring for the lighting.

This approach saved the client significant risk, time and costs including: 1. Paying for the site lighting upgrade, 2. Avoiding risky trenching through the fields of blasted rock thereby minimizing potential change orders, and 3. Delivering two major upgrades to the site in the same amount of time.

New cameras and energy efficient lighting.

When teamwork meets creative problem-solving, the results speak for themselves.

Exciting Project in the Works!

We are thrilled to share that we are currently working on a one-of-a-kind Insect Zoo project for the Department of Entomology in the Biological Sciences building at the University of Georgia!

Construction is well underway, and the design includes some truly unique features—from a dedicated insect rearing room to an engaging educational viewing area where students can observe and learn about these fascinating creatures up close.

This is shaping up to be a standout project that combines science, sustainability, and interactive learning in an unforgettable way.
