Three things that'll add years to your garage door — no tools needed beyond a rag and a can of garage door l**e:
1) Wipe the tracks clean. No grease, just clean.
2) Spray rollers, hinges, and springs with silicone-based lubricant. (NOT WD-40 — that's a degreaser. Common mistake.)
3) Tighten the visible bolts on the brackets. A half-turn is plenty.
Do this in spring and fall and your door will outlive your washing machine. If something sounds off after, that's when you call us.
