Real talk: if your garage feels like a sauna by noon, that's not the climate, that's your door.
A standard non-insulated steel door is essentially a heat sponge. An insulated door (R-13 to R-18) can drop interior garage temps 10–20°F, which means:
- Cooler garage = lower AC load on the adjacent rooms - Less stress on anything you store in there (paint, electronics, your second fridge) - Significantly quieter operation

Fun fact — every garage door noise has a meaning, and most of them are easy fixes if you catch them early.
Squeaks: dry rollers, hinges, or bearings. A can of silicone garage door l**e and 10 minutes solves it. Grinding: usually a worn bearing or a slightly bent track. Catch this one or it gets expensive. Popping (loud, like a gunshot): the torsion spring is failing. Stop using the door and call us.

Saving you a service call today, neighbor.
Three things that'll add years to your garage door — no tools needed beyond a rag and a can of garage door l**e:
1) Wipe the tracks clean. No grease, just clean.
2) Spray rollers, hinges, and springs with silicone-based lubricant. (NOT WD-40 — that's a degreaser. Common mistake.)
3) Tighten the visible bolts on the brackets. A half-turn is plenty.
Do this in spring and fall and your door will outlive your washing machine. If something sounds off after, that's when you call us.
