We were honored to host a group of Kennesaw State student-athletes to one of our jobsites this month.

Led by Excel Project Manager Cole Loden and Assistant Project Manager Nate Wright, both former KSU football players, the students got spend an afternoon getting a firsthand look at careers in electrical construction and the opportunities available beyond athletics.

Thank you to KSU Athletics for creating opportunities like these that help students explore future career paths and connect with professionals in the field. We enjoyed the chance to share our industry and spend time with this talented group.

We are one week into summer - are you doing what it takes to stay safe in the heat?
Heat stress can hit fast when your body can’t cool down - leading to cramps, exhaustion, or even heat stroke.

Stay ahead of it:
💧Drink water regularly (don’t wait until you’re thirsty)
🧊 Take breaks in shaded or cool areas
👕 Wear lightweight, breathable clothing
👀 Watch for warning signs in yourself and your crew

Know the signs:
Cramps = hydrate & rest
Exhaustion = cool down + fluids
Heat stroke = call 911 immediately

Stay alert. Stay hydrated. Look out for each other.
Safety starts with you.

At Excel, safety starts with awareness and taking action.
Shoutout to Kevaunti, our latest Safety Star, for stepping up and doing the right thing on site.

Kevaunti noticed holes in his gloves and didn’t hesitate - he took the initiative to ask for new PPE before continuing work. It’s a simple decision that plays a big role in preventing injuries and keeping everyone safe.

Small actions like these make a big difference. When we stay proactive, we protect not just ourselves, but our entire team.

We were honored to be part of the SkillsUSA Championships, where the best and brightest students showcase their talents in the skilled trades.

Our team had the opportunity to send volunteers to serve as judges, and it was incredible to witness the level of dedication, precision, and passion these students bring to their craft.
