Do you ever worry about or refrain from giving your family and pets water 💧 from your tap? Do you ever worry about cooking 🍳 or showering 🚿 with your tap water? You are not alone. Millions of Americans are installing water filtration systems in their homes due to dangerous chemicals in our groundwater. New England, in particular, is home to some of the oldest waterways in the country, with water known to contain lead, toxins, and hard water - causing dry and itchy skin for adults and children.
The chemicals in our water are called PFA's, also known as "forever chemicals". They have been present in the New England water supply since the 1940s. PFAs are found in ground and surface water, rivers, ponds, shellfish, and due to exposure, human blood. PFAs increase the risk of certain cancers, such as thyroid, kidney, breast, ovarian, and endometrial cancers, as well as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and childhood leukemia. According to Johns Hopkins University National Health and Nutrition Study, 98% of the US population has detectable concentrations of PFAs in their blood.
Boiling water does not remove PFAs but can actually concentrate them, making the contamination worse. PFAs are designed to be resistant to heat, so as the water evaporates during boiling, they become more concentrated in the water, worsening contamination.
⭐️GOOD NEWS⭐️ There are water filtration systems that can be easily installed. They remove PFAs and other chemicals, so you don't have to worry about using your tap water anymore. The systems that I recommend are:

These are the best for hard water, which is very common in new england. Its known to irritate skin and cause brittle hair. Reverse Osmosis Filters filter out unwated molecules and larege aprticles such as contaminants, sediments, chlorine, salt & dirt.
⚫️ Activated Carbon Filters
Activated Carbon Filters pass contaminated H2O through a bed of carbon, the carbon absorbs the PFAs molecules onto its porous surface
⚫️ Ion Exchange Filters
Ion Exchange Filters are water treatment systems that remove unwanted ions from H20 and replaces them with more desired ions.
