structure|austin is an annual showcase recognizing structural excellence in vision, design, and execution within Austin’s AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) community. Each year, any Austin resident may nominate a structure to be to be considered by our distinguished panel of jurors. Three of the selected structures, along with guest speakers from their respective AEC teams, will b

e invited to participate in a daytime tour aimed at educating attendees on the challenges faced and expertise employed in bringing the featured structure to life. The event, which is geared towards students and industry professionals alike, seeks to promote the AEC industry by fostering new ideas, developing the community, and advocating for a holistic understanding of the design and construction process. For the 2015 event, nominations may be sent to the structure austin page or to [email protected] between June 19th and September 18th. Featured buildings will be announced October 1st and structure|austin will be held on October 3rd.
