Position: Landscape professional team member
This position requires a competent landscaping Crew Member to work on both residential and commercial properties. Crew Members are an integral part of keeping clients' landscaping beautiful and turning clients' visions into reality.
Experience working with plants and other decorative landscaping materials as well as all necessary tools and equipment is essential. You must have physical strength, endurance and the ability to work well with your hands. The ability to follow instructions, safety rules and maintain a positive attitude are also a must.
Responsibilities
• Carry, load and unload materials
• Use hand and power tools or equipment to perform various landscaping and irrigation maintenance duties
• Use walk-behind, riding and push mowers, w**d eaters, and backpack blowers to maintain lawns
• Spray for w**ds
• Pick w**ds by hand
• Prepare working areas before install
• Spread mulch, pine straw, and other materials
• Plant and maintain differing types of shrubs, bushes, trees, and other plants
• Interact with clients when necessary
• Perform simple maintenance on equipment
• Perform other tasks as needed
Skills and Requirements
• Proven experience in landscaping
• Experience with standard landscaping equipment
• Basic knowledge of shrubs, bushes, trees, and other plants
• Able to recognize and differentiate plants and w**ds
• Experience in pavers and/or stone work is a plus
• Experience in operating mini excavator/skid steer/mini skit steer ect. is a plus
• Experience in laying sod
• Experienc in installing drain pipe
• Able to work in extreme conditions 8+ hours a day
• Able to follow instructions
• Attention to detail
• Able to work individually or in a team environment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop and twist throughout the day
• Have a reliable form of transportation
