Do your Queen Palms resemble any of these? They could be suffering from a severe nutrient deficiency, resulting in a condition called Frizzletop.

Symptoms include:

~Partial frond maturation
~Breakage and/or dropping of new green fronds
~Discolored and stunted growth from the heart of the Palm that looks “frizzy.”
~Eventual death is possible

Some contributing factors may include:

~Overwatering
~Soil compaction
~Consecutive wetter than normal years

Once a Palm starts this decline, from nutrients being “washed away” or “diluted”, it usually continues until action is taken.

The good news is that they can be helped! Call or message us to set up an assessment. We have had a lot of success treating Frizzletop!
