Guilty. And proud of it.
Apparently women over 50 are supposed to dress “age appropriate.”
Longer shorts…you know what I’m talking about, those just above the knee ones.
One-piece swimmers.
Loose tops.
Nothing too revealing.
Flat soled shoes for comfort…not looks.
Basically… disappear quietly into sensible clothing.
Guess what? That”s not happening here. Not on my watch.
So here are a few midlife crimes I’m guilty of:
✔️Short shorts- no shame. Yup.
✔️Bikinis.
✔️Midriffs.
✔️Sports bras.
✔️Refusing to shrink myself for someone else’s comfort and expectations- a proud, confident yes.
Turns out midlife isn’t where women fade.
It’s where we finally stop asking permission.
And honestly?
It’s the most fun I’ve had in years.
I can’t tell you the confidence that comes with committing these “crimes.”
So if you’re looking for a 50 year old woman having a “midlife crisis.” You’ll find me behind the wheel of my Jeep, on the dirt roads, wearing short shorts, and a midriff or 2, looking for adventure, wild swimming holes, waterfalls and having a whole lot of fun. Guilty as charged.
What’s a midlife crime you’re guilty of?
