The installation of a 5-ton Sure Comfort split system has been successfully completed. After encountering various issues over the years, the existing heat pump had reached the end of its operational lifespan. In this project, we upsized the return ducts and replaced the line sets to address airflow concerns and mitigate the potential for refrigerant oil contamination resulting from the transition from R22 to R454B refrigerant. It is important to note that these two different oils, when mixed, can create a gum-like substance.
