From an unfinished attic to a whole new living space! 🙌

Y’all, this one is coming together beautifully!

What was once an unfinished attic is now a bright, beautiful room, and we’re down to those final finishing touches.

Our finish guys are in there working their magic, and I have to brag on them for a minute. Their attention to detail is something else! From the drywall finishing to the painting, they take pride in making sure everything looks just right. That kind of craftsmanship makes all the difference.

They even added an odor-control paint additive for an extra little touch of freshness. It’s those little details that we love seeing go into our projects.

We’re getting so close to handing this space back over to its homeowners, and we can’t wait for them to enjoy it!

Sometimes I swear this man is terrible at making us money. 😂

We had a repeat customer call us worried about some rot in their floor system. Dan went out, looked at it, and yes—we could repair it.

But getting to it would mean cutting into their floor and costing them a whole lot of money for something that simply doesn’t need to be done right now.

Dan basically told them, “Save your money. That floor is going to outlive you.” 😂

And honestly, that’s one of the things I love about how he does business.

We’re here to make a living, but we’re not going to create work just because we can.

If you need it, Dan’s going to tell you.
If you don’t? He’s going to tell you that too.

Just what’s on my mind today, sitting here in the office with him. ❤️

I’m probably going to step on a few toes with this one… but homeowners NEED to hear it.

We just completed another annual insurance audit, and going through all that paperwork got me thinking.

It is tough out there right now. Fuel is high. Materials are high. Everything costs more—and we feel it just like everybody else.

And sometimes it’s frustrating handing over an estimate knowing someone else may come in thousands cheaper.

But there may be a reason.

We’re licensed. Insured. Bonded. We carry workers’ comp. Our employees are on payroll. We go through the audits, pay the premiums, and follow the rules.

And y’all… doing things the right way isn’t cheap.

But we do it to protect our crew, our company, and the homeowners who trust us with their property.

So when one estimate is way cheaper, don’t just look at the bottom number. Ask why. Ask for the license. Ask for proof of insurance and workers’ comp.

Because sometimes you’re not paying more for the same thing.

You’re paying for everything that’s behind it.

Homeowners, I’m curious—besides price, what matters most to YOU when choosing a contractor? 👇

This is the part nobody sees. 👀

Everybody loves a good before & after, but there’s a whole lot of work that happens in between — and a lot of contractors never show you this part.

Right now it’s drywall, mud, dust and a whole lot of sanding. 😂 But this is where the quality of that finished room starts.

And one thing we’re pretty proud of — our drywall finishing crew is capable of Level 5 finishes, the highest level of drywall finishing. These guys know their stuff, and it shows when the final coat of paint goes on. 👌

Stay tuned… this one is coming together!

What started as a pretty simple repair turned into a whole lot more. 👀

We were called to this Savannah home to address sagging in the flooring in a few areas and take care of some drywall repairs.

Once we opened the floor up, we found the real problem — broken and damaged floor joists underneath.

Our crew got everything repaired, rebuilt and put back together right. 🔨 And finishing this project with a 10/10 review from the homeowner made it even better. ❤️

Before you can build up, sometimes you’ve gotta start with the dirt. 😉

A little bit of what Dan’s been up to lately! These are two recent dirt work jobs — some grading and leveling on one and getting a building pad prepped and ready on the other.

It may not be the “pretty” part of a project, but good prep work is where it all starts.

We share a lot of our remodels, decks and builds on here, but sometimes I forget to show y’all that we do the dirt work too.

From getting the ground ready to putting the finishing touches on a project, we like being able to take care of as much of it as we can.

And up next… we’re starting from the VERY beginning on this one. 👀 We’re clearing a path through untouched property and putting in the driveway for a new home build. From woods and raw land to a finished home — this is going to be a fun one to follow. Stay tuned!

These probably aren’t the kind of pictures you expect a contractor to post… but maybe they should be. ❤️

Usually you see the pretty stuff — the before and afters, the finished kitchens, the new spaces.

But there’s a whole lot that happens in between that you never see.

We just wrapped up in Savannah and moved our finish guys over to our Decaturville remodel. These homeowners are living in their home while we work, so before we started putting everything back together, we took the time to cover floors, protect furniture and stairs, and do our best to protect the parts of their home we aren’t touching.

Is it the exciting part of construction? Nope. 😂
Will anyone notice it in the finished pictures? Probably not.

But it’s the little things.

When someone trusts us enough to hand us the keys to their home — or live right alongside us while we tear part of it apart — we don’t take that lightly.

It may be our jobsite for a little while, but it will always be their home first.

And we think it should be treated that way. ❤️

Now… let’s get this Decaturville home put back together. 🔨

Just a little reminder that you don’t have to need us for the WHOLE project to need us. 🔨

Sometimes you already have the project rolling… you just need a good crew to step in and handle the next part.

Framing? Yep, we do that.
Site prep? We do that too.
Need us from the ground up through the finishing touches? We’ve got you there too.

One phase or the whole thing, we’re thankful for every opportunity to put our crew to work doing what they do best. ❤️

We’ve been quiet on here… but Gallo Contracting sure hasn’t been. 👀

After being shorthanded for a while, we’ve finally been able to build out our team and put crews together that we feel really good about. We now have multiple projects moving at once, which means Dan can spend more of his time where we need him — meeting with customers, getting estimates out, lining up materials and keeping everything moving.

Right now we’re wrapping up projects in Savannah, Decaturville and Clifton, with work coming up in Saltillo.

And the one we’re REALLY excited about… 🏡
We’re getting ready to break ground on a new home build in Olive Hill, from installing the driveway and dirt work all the way to the finishing touches.

We’ve also recently wrapped up a kitchen remodel in Darden and a framing project in Clifton.

Consider this your sneak peek. 👀 These are just a few of the projects our crews have been working on lately. I’ll be sharing each one individually soon so you can see a little more of what went into them. Stay tuned — we’ve got a lot to show y’all!

And if you have a project you’ve been wanting Dan to take a look at, now is a great time to get on his estimate schedule.

I shared the finished photos of this project earlier today, but you have to check out this video of the transformation.

This home had extensive water and mold damage, and it’s hard to believe it’s the same house. Watching the before and after side by side really shows just how much work went into bringing it back to life.

After you watch, go take a look at the photo album I shared earlier today to see all of the finished details.

We’re excited to start sharing more of the projects we’ve been working on. Be sure to follow Gallo Contracting Inc. so you don’t miss what’s coming next.
