The flower baskets on Main Street, presented by the Tioronda Garden Club, were hung in time for Memorial Day and the 250 Anniversary of the Declaration of independence. Thanks to Highway Superintendent Michael Manzi and his staff for their dedication and support of the Tioronda Garden Club and the beautification of the City of Beacon.

The first responders clock tower was also planted today by the Tioronda Garden Club in time for the upcoming Memorial Day celebration. It is planted in red, white and blue flowers for the celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The tower is a gift of Dennis Meyer in honor of all Beacon Emergency Responders in loving memory of his mother Lucy. It was dedicated in May 2015, and has become a Beacon landmark in the East end.
The Welcome to Beacon sign at the Metro North Train Station will welcome visitors this year with the planting of floral designs in a Patriotic color theme, also presented by the Tioronda Garden Club.
