Today I am going through all of the smaller scrap laminate pieces I’ve acquired over the last 4-1/2 years so I can get a better inventory of what I have… 🤯 (This doesn’t include the larger pieces I have rolled up inside the house!)

The man reason I did this is to find a specific laminate piece that I need to re-make a toe skin. See photo #2… These 3 pieces look similar, but they are not. From bottom to top:
- Arborite Essential Artisan Walnut (W2011)
- Wilsonart Beigewood (7850)
- Wilsonart White Oak PB Wheaton (8282, which is the piece I need!)
It’s funny that the two that look the most alike are both Wilsonart… 🤦🏼‍♂️😆

Today I helped my son (10) do part of his project on the Texas Revolution. I took these photos to send to his teacher for evidence that he, in fact, did do most of the work 😂, but I’m glad I have the memories. The times I spent working in the shop with my dad were some of my favorite memories growing up, so I hope my son enjoyed today as much as I did.

Every so often, I like to test the durability of projects I build so I can stand behind my work and know that it will hold strong for years to come. Rather than standing behind my work today, I decided to “sit in”. Yeah baby! Built like a rock! 🤣

This was my “Eleanor” of my most recent Primrose job. The Infant classroom is split into 2 sides with a partition door. The infant teachers on the left side wanted access to the high chairs without having to go to the other side of the classroom. With maximizing every inch of space I had to stack 4 high chairs on a drawer, this was Version 2.

Tasks:
- Design a drawer for 12 high chairs
- Create new fixed panel on bottom left
- Build new door (middle bottom) with hinges on left
- Move partition door to front of cabinet (from left)
- Build new finished end panel on left with opening for drawer

WHEW! I only had to re-design the drawer because I needed every single 1/8” I could get vertically, but everything else fit like a dream. I’m glad that it’s done, but I’m pretty dang proud of this one! Thank you Primrose School of Breckinridge Park!!
